The only church service I tried attending after leaving Mormonism was at a Unitarian Universalist church. It was a very different experience from what I was used to. Almost like taking a class on religion instead of being in one? Nice people, but I never went back.

I'm a Unitarian Universalist. Our reverend told us it will probably be a year before we have in person services again. We have a lot of elders in our congregation and it would be too risky for them otherwise. For now, our service is online.

I'm sorry people are such assholes while hiding behind "Christianity". In my experience, the most accepting kinds of congregations I've seen at the present time are United Methodist and Unitarian Universalist ones. It's not our place to judge other people, but to love.

Also, I wasn’t sure if you were one of my Unitarian Universalist followers or not, so context: the 5th principle of UUism is “a free and responsible search for truth and meaning.” We can search wherever we feel called, but have a moral obligation to do it responsibly.
