I grew up Catholic. I didn't even know homosexuality existed until college... and I went to a Catholic University, too! Now I'm a liberal Unitarian Universalist who fights for the rights of the oppressed.
The only church service I tried attending after leaving Mormonism was at a Unitarian Universalist church. It was a very different experience from what I was used to. Almost like taking a class on religion instead of being in one? Nice people, but I never went back.
