“The problem isn’t the rioters. The problem is White Supremacy.” @RevPeggyClarke this morning.
We may not be able to eradicate this age-old virus immediately, but what we do not face, we can never change. Let us face this evil and cast it from our collective being. And let’s do it together. All of us need all of us to breathe and to live. Everybody’s got a right to live.
On June 20, we will join thousands from across the country to lift the voices and faces of poverty in the midst of pandemic for a massive, historic online gathering that will embolden us and prepare us to struggle for the kind of society we so badly need and deserve.
The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is rising across the nation to address these challenges but they need your help.
We hold in our hearts the recent victims of extrajudicial murder: Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and George Floyd and in our own backyard of Silver Spring, Finan Bear-hey.
Today, many of us are filled with sadness, we are brimming with righteous anger, we are wracked with physical pain as our country once again wrestles with racism and it’s deadly impact.
