Iβve keyworded this sub like Iβve got nothing else to do. Iβm currently in a membership class and I like itβ but for some reason, online and in person people are so vague about the following questions I have that it starts to deter me from deciding to become a member.
Can anyone answer these questions in the most black and white way?
How much does it cost to be a member? Is it a sliding scale, percentage of income, depends on what you can give, a flat amount, depends on the congregations, most congregations do what?
What does becoming a member do other than give me the ability to vote and upkeep the grounds?
Is there something else I am missing other than identifying that this is my place and I promise to abide by our morals and values?
I donβt want to be rude in the class, but not addressing the elephant (money, something a lot of people struggle with) seems a little off putting.
