Nafis Sadik, was a doctor who championed women’s health and rights. She was most known for spearheading the groundbreaking UN program in 1994 that first recognized women's rights to control their reproductive sexual health and the choice to become pregnant.
Her bold vision and leadership set a path for the rest of the world to follow. As Unitarian Universalists, we honor those who came before and carry the light of their inspiration forward as we continue the work they began. May Nafis Sadik’s legacy live on forever.
